I suppose it has happened gradually, but I seem to have completely lost control of my time. There hasn't been a big change recently, but I feel that my wheels spin all of the time & I don't get very much accomplished. I am trying to keep on track with finishing existing projects before beginning new ones, but I'm not having much success with that. I began & have nearly finished a project that I hope to enter to be hung in a Modern Quilt Guild show at this year's Quilt Festival -- but I'm not feeling the love. I will hold off judgement until I wash & crinkle it in the dryer. The postage stamp quilt is getting its river system quilted onto it -- again, not loving it. The next thing to quilt will be my HMQG row robin quilt; I'll do it very simply so it should go quickly. I have the Shirts & Slacks blocks spread out on the floor to assemble -- I am looking forward to seeing them all together. And there are one or two new ideas that are trying to nudge their way to the front of the line. But mostly I am feeling kind of dis-satisfied with what I've done & what I am doing. {sigh}
I am keeping close to my heart a recent post from the awesome completely cauchy: Life is not a competition.
My birthday was earlier this month. I was taken to lunch with work friends, I was taken to dinner by Shug, I got some funny & sweet cards & I got these lovely gifts:
The vase came from my boss, the bag came from the adorable wrongturnrojas & the hot pad & fat quarter came the talented Safieh. Love the givers! Love the gifts!

Happy birthday month! It sounds like you're making a valiant effort at finishing things. I'm sure you're making way for new ideas and inspirations!
I know exactly what you mean about the time thing....when someone asks me what I did with my day, let alone my week, I have no idea. Probably to many hours in blogland, well lets not mention that.
Happy Birthday and I hope you have many more.
Happy belated birthday!! Wishing a quick return of your sewing groove :o)
Happy Birthday!
I know what you mean by time! It seems like I am always chasing it.
A super happy birthday to you!!!! I know what you mean! It's a bummer when you don't feel the love. I'm dragging my heels through a project at the moment.. And yes time is flying!! I guess there's other times where we get heaps done and it's all wonderful, it's just the way it goes sometimes. I popped over and read the CC post, what a great reminder that our creativity is for us with nothing to prove.
Happy Birthday!
I have many issues with time, I never seem to get half the stuff done I intend to! I hope you like your projects more again when they are out of the dryer! :)
