Groovy, baby

I found this little lap-sized quilt on Etsy & quickly snapped it up. It's from the 1960s, one of the decades in which not many quilts were made. The pattern is a simple rail fence. But the fabrics! Besides being bright, most of the prints have a woven texture. I think it is lots of fun & very groovy!

There is such much that is cool about this quilt!! Even though it's a simple pattern the play with colour makes it look like a party. I really like the matching blocks in the 2 bottom corners, while the rest looks random. And love those fabrics with texture.

What a fun quilt! So many great fabrics to look at - it does look just like the 60's. I know just how those textured fabrics feel. :)

Very nice! I have a little lap quilt, I don't remember where I got it from, maybe from the same era, in subtle colors, but the same pattern. Treasures.
