I drove north.
It was hot.
I stitched up some puppies.
Two scrap swaps arrived for me at home (thanks, Armchair Quilter & Blue Mountain Daisy!
I visited my Mom everyday.
I forgot my pinking shears but found my Mom's -- they're Craftsman!
Back at home, Shug got a cast -- it's green!
I had my ritual sausage egg McMuffin & coffee at the Flint Hills McDonald's.
I drove south.

Great post..and you are home safe and sound. Looks like Shug cannot make it without you..lol..and he may have a bit Irish in him with his green cast.

LOVE those puppies....your own design?
Sorry about Shug's cast. My honey has one on his leg as he broke both bones just above the ankle. Boys! mdmontalvo@yahoo.com

Lovely pictures of the trip! I bet you are ready to get to work!
A few years ago now I was in the States and was captivated by the wonderful cloudscapes that fill the big skies on road trips. Your photos have brought back those memories. Your puppy blocks are so cute!! Poor Shug, I hope it's not too serious, at least his cast is a nice shade of green. Glad the zebras arrived safe and sound. No pressure to use them!!
Great post and wonderful photos! Do I know those darling pups? Think maybe I do. You are such a poet and sewist. Love it. What happened to Shug? Wild wood work?
